You get to hear the national anthem of the gold medal winner, and if you don't look at the screen, it's fun to try to guess what country the winner is from. Now you can study up on national anthems from around the globe with, a Yahoo! Maps mashup that allows you to find your favorite country and play the national anthem by clicking on the nation's capital. The top half of the page at All National Anthems is a Yahoo! Map of the world. You can click and drag the map around, zoom in and out on countries, and find the nation you're interested in. Then click the orange flag sticking up from the nation's capital, and it expands and shows the name of the capital city along with a link to the All National Anthems page about that country. Each nation's page has some basic information about the country, a history of its national anthem, a map of the country, and the weather in its capital city. The pages also have an embedded YouTube video of the country's flag with its national anthem playing in the background. The video is usually either an image of the flag waving in a computer-generated breeze or a still image; it's the anthem playing in the background that's the heart of each page. You get a little more than you bargained for at All National Anthems; in addition to hearing the anthem of each country you visit on the map, you get to learn a little bit about the country's history and geography. There's not much else to the site, but it's definitely worth keeping in your bookmarks if you want to impress your friends with your worldly knowledge when the Olympics start in August. The world's national anthems, all in one place. All National Anthems. Welcome to AllNatinalAnthems.com. On this website we try to collect the world's national.
